The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering two new Community Midwife positions in York, aimed at providing tailored antenatal and postnatal care to women and birthing individuals facing vulnerabilities, such as asylum seekers and those with significant safeguarding issues. As Band 6 case-loading midwives, successful candidates will be passionate advocates for equality, possessing strong communication skills and an organized approach to service development. Your opportunities will include implementation of the maternity disadvantage tool, further development of local agreed policy and guidance and demonstrable impact on the well being of the community through audit.
You will build close working relationships with key stakeholders and specialists, including the MDT, Social Care for Adults and Children, Safeguarding Leads and other key services.
This is an opportunity for a midwife with a passion for equality and advocacy. With effective communication skills and an organised professional, you will be dedicated to service development and improvement, through student support, MDT working and knowledge sharing.
