Career Connect is seeking a passionate Engagement Worker Level 1 to join their community team in Manchester, focusing on providing careers advice and support to 16–18-year-olds who are not currently in education, employment, or training. The role involves engaging with young people and their families through outreach efforts, including home visits and phone calls, with the aim of building meaningful relationships that empower these individuals to explore future opportunities in education, training, or employment.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will contact and engage young people who may have dropped out of education or work. You will work alongside other members of your team to reach out to young people in the community, often through home-visits (in pairs) and making follow up phone calls. You will contact disengaged young people or their parents/carers through various channels, so excellent communication skills are essential.
You will play a vital role in helping us to connect with young people who may need our support.
Through building meaningful relationships, you will help us to empower even more young people to plan their futures – whether that is employment, education, training, or building personal and social skills through new experiences, volunteering or short programmes. You’ll also help link young people up to wellbeing and mental health support when required.
You’ll help young people understand their own skills and strengths, overcome personal barriers and create a better future for themselves.

You will need to be able to manage your time well and travel independently because this is not a home-based role.
