Job description
The post holder will support the Endoscopy Scheduling and Audit Manager in the management of the Endoscopy administration service, ensuring efficient and effective operational management and performance of the elective admission function, and ensuring the achievement of local waiting time targets for inpatient and day case care both across the Trust and Outreach Centres.
To assist the Manager in the line management of the booking office team and reception staff, offering guidance, experience and advice to all staff, whilst developing a culture of collaborative working positively contributing to the overall efficiency and performance of the team and service, embedding good working practices to ensure positive patient experience.
The post holder will help to oversee all administrative and clerical processes to enable a high quality, effective patient focussed service to be delivered. Be responsible for co-ordinating all relevant activities to ensure the unit maintains the JAG accreditation.
To be expected to work without direct supervision and exercise significant initiative and independent judgement in managing this large area and challenging workload, assisting and deputising for the Endoscopy Scheduling and Audit Manager. The post-holder must observe and work within the Trust’s Confidentiality Policy at all times.
The post holder will support the provision of a high-quality booking service within the Endoscopy Department, both across the Trust and Outreach Centres, and as such, will need to be able to communicate well with patients and their relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi-professional staff, internal and external to the Trust.
