London Pathways Partnership (LPP) is a consortium of five NHS Trusts delivering services in London and across three prisons as part of the National Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant psychologist with an interest in personality disorder and/or complex care to join the London Pathways Unit Team at HMP Brixton.

The LPU is a treatment and progression service for individuals assessed as high risk high harm presenting with personality disorder/difficulties who are approaching release or parole.The post holder will play an active role in service research, audit and evaluation and supporting operational and clinical lead to coordinate referrals. They will be involved in delivering psychological, psycho-social interventions, the development of an enabling and psychologically, culturally and trauma informed environment, and contributing to the staff training programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist with an interest in personality disorder and/or complex care to become involved in a highly innovative service. As well as jointly delivering a service with prison.There may also be opportunities to work into the LPP community services.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care of people in prison within the service, across all sectors of care; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To assist in clinically related administration including referrals, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
