Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our dynamic team providing inpatient respiratory care at Royal London Hospital. This full time locum FY1 post will be available from 2nd April 2025 5th August 2025. The successful applicant will be affiliated with the Respiratory Medicine department offering inpatient medical care on a ward based system. The team contributes to the acute on call for the hospital.

The doctor will generally be based on the wards delivering the daily care of medical inpatients under the team, with the support of the Respiratory Consultant, Specialist Registrar and Resident doctors. They will also be expected to contribute to the hospital on call rota where they will be responsible for ward cover. If desired, there is an opportunity to attend Specialty clinics.

The respiratory team are committed to supporting medical education, within the department there is lunchtime teaching every Monday as well as M&M meetings once a month. Consultants within the department are willing to supervise and support successful candidates with audits and QIPs.
