About The Role…


As Patient Service Administrator you will provide a full and efficient administrative service to clinical teams. This will include personal dictation, and ensuring that all documentation (for example discharge summaries, operation notes, reports, theatre lists, outpatient clinic notes and clinic/appointment letters) is produced to a high standard. Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times

Having prior experience in dealing end users you will provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy

These three vacancies have been created to support a new contract in the Northwest.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract, with potential to extend.

Your Day to Day




  • Assist in monitoring the outpatient, in-patient and day case waiting list and escalate any potential issues
  • Ensure that waiting times meet NHS standards and targets
  • Use multiple computer systems as required within the organisation such System1, NHS E-referrals,
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient details are maintained on patient information systems
  • Maintain medical records and patient files in line with the Record keeping policy
  • Respond to complaints where appropriate, escalating to Line Manager if unable to resolve


Qualification, Experience & Training





Essential


  • Minimum of 3 level 2 qualifications e.g., GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Clinical Document Management (CDM) System One, (Electronic Patient Record) or equivalent
  • Previous clerical experience
  • Working in an NHS/clinical environment e.g., hospital, GP surgery, CCG
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Customer Care experience
  • Experience of handling patient complaints
