Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor for a special school in Tower Hamlets. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their full potential. Previous experience in an SEN setting is preferable.

Please Note: This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service. - Provide one-to-one and group support to students with special needs and moderate learning difficulties.
- Help manage challenging behaviour, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Support students' emotional and social development, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Prior experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with complex needs.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
