South Wales Police is seeking candidates for the role of Police Officer as part of the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) in Cardiff and surrounding areas. This full-time, permanent position offers a starting salary of £29,907 per annum and entails a comprehensive training program designed for individuals who have three years of allied experience in roles such as emergency services, criminal justice, or social care. New recruits will undergo an initial six months of training, followed by practical tutorship in a response team, which includes a varied shift pattern and responsibilities critical to community safety.

Applicants must hold a GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification, and they will need to demonstrate both operational competence and academic achievement throughout a two-year probationary period.
