Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHFT Podiatric Surgery Department. We are a small and friendly team looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to take on the role of Band 3 HCA within the Day Surgery Unit at Danetre Hospital.
The post holder will be working with Podiatric Surgeons, Registrar, Extended Scope Podiatrists, Podiatrists, Theatre Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner, Senior Theatre Assistant, HCA and Administration staff. The service offers Outpatient Clinics at Danetre Hospital Daventry, and Isebrook Hospital Wellingborough, with Day Surgery based at the facilities of Danetre Hospital. The service is currently open from Monday to Friday.
Please note that sponsorship is not available for this part-time position as it does not meet the UKVI eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa.
Main duties of the job
This role involves helping patients feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible pre and post-surgery on the Day Surgery ward area. This varied and interesting role will also involve the day-to-day preparation and smooth running of the unit.Previous experience of working in healthcare is essential.
You will be working under the guidance of healthcare professionals and assisting with patient care when needed.
The post holder will be based at Danetre Hospital with a requirement to travel to other sites within the Trust for training. The ability to travel independently between these sites is therefore essential.
Initially the post holder will be required to work 15 hours per week over Tuesdays and Thursdays with some flexibility required to cover the needs of the service.
