Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be instrumental in embedding and maintaining Clinical Governance systems to enhance patient care and safety. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Governance Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee robust Clinical Governance frameworks to ensure compliance with CQC standards.
- Internal Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate clinical performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Create, update, and manage policies and procedures to reflect best practices in clinical care and governance.
- Governance Committees and Reporting: Chair Clinical Governance and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, ensuring effective communication and accountability across teams.
- Risk Management and Quality Improvement: Identify, assess, and manage clinical risks, while driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Staff Training and Development: Support the development of clinical staff through training programs and continuous professional development focused on governance and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and partner organisations, to ensure transparency and maintain high standards of care.
- CQC Readiness: Lead the hospitals preparations for CQC inspections, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Hospital Manager/Director in a clinical or surgical setting.
- Extensive knowledge of Clinical Governance, Quality Assurance, and CQC standards.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing Clinical Governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage audits, inspections, and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and engage teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to driving organisational change.
- Nursing qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience in the private healthcare sector.
