NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a part-time Medical Secretary for the Oncology department at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) in Glasgow. The role is permanent, requiring 20 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates should possess an HNC or SVQ Level 3 in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, along with a good understanding of office procedures and a strong attention to detail. Key responsibilities include providing a comprehensive medical administrative service, transcribing letters using the Winscribe dictation system, and managing patient inquiries in a courteous manner.
The ideal candidate will have medical terminology knowledge, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. You will have an HNC or SVQ 111 in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration. You should have a sound knowledge of office procedures, the ability to work accurately under pressure, have attention to detail and work co-operatively within a team.
