Job Overview

To provide routine NHS dental treatment to patients referred to the community Dental services specialties of paediatric and special care dentistry.

Full time or part time applicants considered.

Advert

  • Provide dental care to patient groups within the remit of Salford Community Dental Service and in particular those groups requiring paediatric and special care dentistry.
  • Provide domiciliary care and inhalation sedation to patients referred to Salford Community Dental Service.
  • Work with senior colleagues to provide care under general anaesthesia in Salford Royal hospital.
  • Provide care from a range of premises.
  • Responsibility for the working arrangements and standards at the clinic from which clinical services are provided
  • The post holder will be expected to maintain the high standards of clinical and professional behaviour required by Salford Community Dental Service.
  • Maintenance of own records of your continuing professional education and development.
  • Communicate positively and affectively.
  • Actively give and receive feedback in a constructive manner.

The post holder is expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be required to communicate and liaise with a range of individuals and groups including, senior managers at Salford Royal Hospital of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA), medical and dental consultants, primary care practitioners, other health and social professional team members, patients, and their families/ carers and the public.
