The Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy TCI Clerk to assist in the booking and management of elective procedures within the Endoscopy Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital. This 12-month fixed term role requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage one's workload effectively. While previous experience with Cerner and TCI training is preferred, training will be provided. Responsibilities include creating, booking, admitting, and discharging TCI encounters for patients, coordinating outpatient appointments, preparing documentation, and handling inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will also monitor waiting times and facilitate communication with consultants and their secretaries.

The Endoscopy Department are looking to appoint a TCI Clerk to support the booking of elective activity.
This role is based within the Endoscopy Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital working across 7 days on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will have experience of using Cerner and ideally have TCI training, although this is not essential as training will be provided. They should have good people skills and be able to prioritise their own workload. Experience in a clinic setting would be an advantage.
Create, book, admit and discharge TCI encounters for patients.
Arrange the booking, reception and follow up outpatient appointments.
Complete all required documentation and computer records.
Send out admissions letters and deals with all relevant enquires from patients, relatives and GP’s etc.
Deals with any difficulties relating to the admission of the patient, referring to a higher level if required.
Ensure clear communications with the consultant and their secretary.
Ensure cancelled appointments are refilled where possible by reviewing the waiting list.
Ensure strict monitoring of patients waiting times, i.e. targets to be achieved.
Liaise with multi-disciplinary staff regarding Consultants annual leave.
