The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic B6 Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse for Ward 39, specializing in the care of elderly patients with fractured necks and femurs. The successful candidate will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, providing pre and post-operative care, collaborating with orthopaedic and geriatric teams, as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Key responsibilities include delivering clinical leadership, maintaining safety standards, and focusing on areas such as fall and pressure ulcer prevention, while enhancing skills in elderly medicine and rehabilitation.
