The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is offering a one-year secondment opportunity for an experienced nurse to serve as a Band 6 Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on A8 Ward, a 27-bedded elderly care unit specializing in patients with dementia, frailty, and complex health needs. Ideal candidates should hold UK NMC registration, possess a genuine interest in elderly care, particularly dementia, and have experience in complex discharge planning. Key responsibilities include leading the team in the ward manager's absence, contributing to staff management, audits, ward development projects, and addressing complaints and governance issues, while promoting a safety culture.
