The Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ED Reception Clerk to join their Emergency Department team. The role involves providing a professional and efficient reception service, managing clerical and administrative tasks necessary for patient treatment, and utilizing both paper-based health records and information technology systems. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Harrogate District Foundation Trust to Join the Emergency Department team as a Reception Clerk.

The post holder will be required to provide a professional, efficient and comprehensive reception service within the department’s reception desk, fulfilling all necessary reception, clerical, administrative and general tasks required to facilitate and record patient treatment using paper based health records and information technology systems.
Be familiar with, and work to, the protocols and policies of the Emergency Department and Trust policies.
Closely liaise with other disciplines while remaining courteous to provide reliable and quality service to patients, relatives and carers, healthcare professionals, internal departments and outside organisations
Be aware of the Health and Safety aspects of staff and patients and to promote a safe environment to work in
Commit to further training as required by the role and when competent to, assist in the training of others.
