Working as part of a large, diverse team from many different backgrounds, you will engage in a wide range of tasks including purchases and payments, data entry and file management, organising and servicing meetings and events and engaging with study participants.
Experience of working in an administrative or office setting and the ability to carry out a variety of administrative tasks is important. The role also requires excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team. Working in a highly regulated environment also means that the role requires an ability to set up and maintain standard administrative systems and procedures. The diversity of the tasks undertaken means that your ability to plan and prioritise, problem solving skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service will be essential for the role.

Duties And Responsibilities
Key Duties
- Deal with a range of enquires from internal (staff & students) and external (members of the public or other stakeholders) customers in a professional manner, establishing their needs and adapting the standard responses accordingly.
- Work with others to make recommendations for the development and improvement of current University processes and procedures.
- Create good working relationships with key contacts to help improve service levels.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the team and department.
- Gather and review data to update administrative systems such as databases and spreadsheets, making sure the information is accurate, and highlighting to your line manager basic trends and patterns.
- Actively contribute to the success of the team and support the supervision and management of it.
- Produce documentation, plan, and organise meetings, take minutes/notes and ensure any travel arrangements are made.
- Assist with the support and administration of specialist software used in the support of our research.
- Ensure that work is undertaken and documented in a regulatory compliant way and be prepared for regular audits and inspections, as well as contributing to the development of administrative systems.
