Job Overview
An exciting permanent, part time opportunity has arisen for a Ward Assistant to join the busy Neonatal team based at Grange University Hospital. The hours are 15 hours per week, working 12-8pm Thursday and Friday. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, adaptable and conscientious individual; the applicant will be supporting all members of the multi-disciplinary team on the ward. The applicant will undertake a range of tasks as part of the job role, some of which include maintaining hygiene standards and infection control guidelines, such as cleaning of incubators and maintaining efficient stock levels on the Unit. The applicant will ensure sufficient stock is stored within each nursery as this is vital for continued care by the nursing and medical team. The nurse in charge may allocate tasks as deemed urgent that require prioritisation.as part of your working day.

At Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Neonatal team at The Grange University Hospital as a non-clinical Neonatal unit.
The role involves working on a busy neonatal unit, maintaining stock levels and complying with all infection control duties.
Previous experience of working within an acute hospital environment or a similar setting would be an advantage, including a current infection control certificate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
