Role Overview
Due to internal growth at Medserv, we are actively looking for a Private Medical Secretary to join our Remote Practice Management team based in our Haywards Heath Office. Medical Secretaries at Medserv are the key to providing the best possible service to our clients. You will be working closely with a Patient Administrator ensuring you are meeting and taking the lead on exceeding client expectations. Day to day you will be dealing with a high volume of calls, from patients, secretaries and other medical professionals.

Role Overview

You will be working closely with a Patient Administrator ensuring you are meeting and taking the lead on exceeding client expectations. Day to day you will be dealing with a high volume of calls, from patients, secretaries and other medical professionals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Managing a high volume of calls from patients querying appointments, handling consultants and secretaries' queries, taking payments, issuing correspondence, etc.
- Scheduling clinics
- Managing and reviewing medical dictations
- Scanning medical information and uploading to the PM system
- Participate in weekly team meetings with management
- Managing internal and external email queries
- Ensure clients are getting the best us of the service
- Assist with training of new members of staff when necessary
- Ad-hoc duties as requested by management
- Attention to detail is essential
- Comfortable speaking with clients or third parties, i.e secretaries, hospital personnel
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to multi-task/be flexible to the needs of the role
- Ability to communicate/report effectively with manager/team members/clients and other third parties
