NHS Lothian is seeking a motivated and experienced Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join the Stoma and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) team at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will provide ongoing support to surgical patients, particularly those undergoing bowel surgeries, including managing care for patients with stomas and assisting with their self-care. The role involves a variety of day-to-day tasks and requires a proactive approach to help patients recover quickly after surgery, particularly those in the ERAS program.

This is a fixed-term, 1-year position for 34.5 hours per week within Scotland's largest colorectal unit, offering numerous learning opportunities in surgical patient care. The candidate will work collaboratively within a specialist team, emphasizing the importance of support both during the hospital stay and following discharge, when patients typically require the most assistance.
