NHS GRAMPIAN
MEDICAL SECRETARY
Hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday,
Band 4 (£29,116 - £31,670)
The post holder will work alongside the Medical Secretaries in our Department of Dermatology at ARI to provide secretarial and administrative support to a team of 10 Consultants (along with the other medical secretaries in the Department) and their medical and nursing staff.
This is a very busy but rewarding post that involves a variety of tasks including PA work, ensuring the patient pathway is followed and completed, as well as audio typing. We are looking for a fast and accurate audio typist. The hours can be worked between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate should have previous secretarial experience, excellent and fast audio typing as well as PA experience with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The ability to touch type is required along with experience of audio typing and this is essential.

The Medical Secretarial Service provides secretarial and administration support to medical, surgical, and clinical teams across the acute sector of NHS Grampian. The team consists of Medical Secretaries, Audio Typists, Administrators, Filing Clerks, Receptionists, Trainers, PAs, and the Management Team.
There are opportunities for expansion and progression within the Medical Secretarial Service, including expanding your knowledge in to various other medical, surgical, and clinical services, or over time developing in to supervisory, training, or management roles.
