The Forward Trust is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator for HMP Millsike, a new prison in East Riding of Yorkshire, with a salary range of £24,000 to £26,000 per annum. This role will be integral to the Connections Health and Wellbeing and Recovery Service, focused on supporting prisoners in maintaining their recovery and overall health. Responsibilities include coordinating a team of Health and Wellbeing Champions (HAWCs), overseeing various interventions—such as workshops and 1:1 support—and collaborating with healthcare and substance misuse teams to enhance service delivery.

Candidates for this role should possess knowledge of the challenges faced by service users within the criminal justice system and a firm commitment to addiction recovery and rehabilitation. Experience in managing caseloads, conducting assessments, and delivering interventions is essential, alongside strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with prisoners and staff. The position will play a key role in fostering a restorative culture at the prison and supporting inmates in their journey towards positive change.
