About The Role


Sandbanks Day Centre provides a daycare service for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and older people living with the experience of Dementia. The service provides quality care to Hounslow residents and supports them to participate in meaningful activities which are tailored to meet their needs and wishes. The service empowers residents to meet their full potential, supports them to further develop their independence and ensures their dignity and safety.

It is important to us that our residents receive the best care available, which is why we are currently looking to recruit compassionate, energetic, motivated care workers who may have some experience of either informal caring or experience of caring in a workplace, to join our dedicated team.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In


As a care worker at Sandbanks Day Centre, you will be working alongside other care workers in the Day Centre to support our residents. You will be reporting to the Senior Care Officer and Assistant Manager, who will supervise and coordinate your work.

We also work in partnership with other professionals such as nurses, The Positive Behaviour Support Team, and Social Workers.

The team endeavours to provide good quality care and support to all our residents who have different needs and abilities. You will help them to maintain their dignity, independence, and well-being, as well as their physical and mental health.

You will also contribute to creating a positive and stimulating environment in the Day Centre, where residents can enjoy a variety of activities and social interactions.

Your role as a care worker is very important and rewarding. You will make a difference in the lives of our residents and their families every day. You will also learn new skills and gain valuable experience in the care sector. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team that values your contribution and respects your individuality.


About You


You may be wondering if you have the right qualifications and experience to apply for this role.

Formal certificates or previous work experience in care, are desirable but what matters most to us, is your attitude and willingness to learn.

We value personal experience of caring for others, whether it is a family member, a friend, or a neighbour. We also appreciate any skills or hobbies that you can share with our residents, such as music, gardening, cooking or arts and crafts. We believe that everyone has something to offer, and we will support you to develop your potential.

If you are interested in learning more about autism, learning disabilities, dementia and mental health and how to provide the best care possible, we will provide you with a comprehensive induction and training programme.

You will also have access to ongoing mentoring and supervision from our experienced staff. We will help you gain the knowledge and confidence you need to succeed in this role.
