An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Service Manager to join our Acute, General, and HSEP (Health services for Elderly People) Teams.
The post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work with clinical teams and across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.
The post holder will provide comprehensive operational management, change management and strategic support.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be a key member of the Acute and HSEP Management Team providing strong, visible leadership across departments. They will have a range of responsibilities supporting the clinical and wider management team to include:
- The day-to-day operational management of specific service areas
- Ensuring all performance targets are achieved within budget
- Working with and supporting clinical and operational colleagues in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care
- Support clinical colleagues with occupancy capacity management and patient flow by attending regular bed meetings.
- Providing line management and managerial leadership
- Responsible for Speciality Budgets within the area of responsibility.
- Offer management oversight to Mega rota team as required.
- Support service improvement initiatives
The post holder will ideally have previous healthcare management experience. Experience of patient pathways, RTT and clinical service management would be beneficial.
You will work with the clinical team to develop and streamline processes to ensure key performance indicators are met, as well as providing excellent customer service to our patients.
