Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Administrator in the Specialist Palliative Care Team at North Manchester General Hospital. This part time role is essential in supporting service delivery.

Main duties of the job

Main Purpose Of Role

  • To provide administrative support to the Specialist Palliative Care Team at North Manchester General Hospital.
  • To be the first point of contact for health professionals, patients, families and carers.
  • To develop, monitor and maintain record keeping systems and databases within the team.
  • To act as a first point of contact with healthcare professionals within the Trust, from external organisations and with patients, families and carers.
  • To maintain a professional approach when dealing with distressing and emotional situations.
  • To recognise and expedite urgent concerns to the Team Lead, Nurse Specialists or the Consultant.

T To prepare minutes and agenda for workstream meetings.

T To maintain databases and assist with the preparation of reports

  • To maintain effective communication with all members of the team.
  • To deal promptly and efficiently with all verbal, telephone, written and email enquiries.
