Ziron Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking Care Assistants for their older persons' residential services across Fife, with roles available in multiple locations based on candidate preference. Successful applicants will work on a rota that includes early, late, and night shifts, with a salary range of £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 (pro-rata) for a 35-hour week. The role involves providing compassionate support to elderly residents, promoting their independence, social inclusion, and well-being while assisting them in making personal choices in daily activities.
Candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, the necessary qualification as required by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and must complete registration within six months of employment. Older Peoples Services has 8 residential services across Fife, with a team based in each service. You can view each of the service locations, listed at the top of this advert, and will be asked to provide your location preference at interview.
The successful candidate will work on a rota basis within the care home which includes, early shifts, late shifts and a period of night duty, unsocial hours will be paid at basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our care home team in Fife Councils Residential and Day Services.
We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of older people within the care homes. This will involve providing positive support and encouragement for people to make their own choices and decisions in all aspects of their daily lives as well as, providing flexible support to enable the service users to access activities and achieve their personal outcomes. This will involve promoting social inclusion by working with people to maximise their personal independence, health, wellbeing and access service opportunities in their local communities.
The care homes in Fife provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people: the care home also supports a respite, STAR unit and a day service.

The Person
Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification as required by the Scottish Social Services Council. Within the timeframes set at point of registration, once qualification achieved it is the person's responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council accordingly.
Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.
Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
To ensure you achieve registration with the SSSC as part of the Older Peoples Residential and Day Services requirement within 6 months of starting in a new role, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date on the register. To maintain your registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role and submit an annual declaration via MySSSC. If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted subject to the condition that you achieve the required qualification within the timeframe defined by SSSC.
