The Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Health Care Assistant for their Bevan Court 1 unit, which is part of a rapidly expanding Frailty Service. The unit includes a 24-bed geriatrician-led facility offering overnight and short stays for frail patients, alongside other specialized services such as ambulatory care and community response teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursing team with household and direct care tasks as directed by the Nurse in Charge.
  • Maintain high standards of nursing care and ensure a supportive environment for patient recovery.
  • Document nursing tasks accurately and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Uphold patient dignity and safety, adhering to Trust policies at all times.
  • Participate in training and performance reviews to support ongoing personal development.

  • Contract Type: Fixed term (10 months)
  • Pay Band: Band 2, £23,615 per annum (pro rata)
