Job Summary
Meadowbrook has four wards, which are:Chaucer Ward, Eagleton Ward, Keats Ward and Maccoll Ward. Chaucer Ward is an 8 bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. Eagleton ward is a 19 bedded male acute ward for Salford patients. Keats ward is a 22 bedded female acute ward. Maccoll Ward is a 18 bedded male acute ward for Salford and Manchester patients.
Meadowbrook prides itself on the supportive and innovative culture that supports the staff in their personal and professional development. There are always opportunities for staff to receive additional training in relation to each staff members needs and interests. This is on top of the local band 5 development training. Meadowbrook has a adopted a trauma informed and least restrictive approach to ensure high quality and safe patient care.
Main duties of the job
To work directly with service users to provide
Support, and give
Time to engage them in their
Recovery and promote health and well being in line with their care plan, under the direction of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner on duty.
You will support the clinical team to provide individual and group activities, based on interests and building skills, to the patient group on Irwell. The STR role also requires active involvement in planning and implementing interventions aimed at reducing restrictive practice and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
