The post holder will facilitate access to oral health promotion, dental preventive and treatment services through all Oral Health Improvement Programmes.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is 08:30 -16:30pm
Duties
The post holder will facilitate access to oral health promotion, dental preventive and treatment services through all Oral Health Improvement Programmes. Duties will include:
- Support the delivery of Childsmile programmes e.g. Toothbrushing and Fluoride Varnish within nurseries
- and schools.
- After training may provide support to vulnerable families in their own homes.
- Provide support to a wider range of establishments including nursing homes, prisons, homeless units,
- community and primary care dental service settings.
- Minimum Requirements
- SVQ 3 in Health Care, or working towards, or equivalent experience working with a caring environment/
- role
- The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary/ agency team
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Good organisational skills and an ability to carry out assigned client care and tasks effectively within a busy
- environment
It would be desirable if the successful candidate held a Childsmile certificate.
