Job description
We are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent basis (12 hours per week plus 1 sleeping shift with the opportunity for hours to increase to cover maternity leave from July / August 25) based in the York area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour plus weekend premium, plus sleep pay and double time Bank Holiday rates.

The Care Assistant Role
We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to join a team for a 32-year-old woman in the York area. The client currently resides in Melbourne, North Yorkshire, but shall be moving to York later in the year.
The client contracted Meningitis in 2, which resulted in an incomplete Spinal Cord Injury causing quadriplegia and a moderate Brain injury.
The client is living independently with a support team assisting with activities of daily living.
Full personal care is required.
A flexible approach is necessary as your main rota will be 1 day shift and 1 sleeping night per week plus annual leave and maternity leave cover for the team.

What We Are Looking For In Our Care Assistant
- Applicants require an empathetic & dynamic approach, with the ability to promote and encourage therapies. Successful applicants will be required to engage the client in home & community activities.
- Experience preferred but not essential as full training and shadow shifts will be provided.
- UK Driving Licence essential.
