The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a motivated Healthcare Support Worker for the Orthopaedic Pre-Assessment Unit at the University Hospital of Llandough. The role involves caring for patients preparing for orthopaedic surgery, including tasks such as taking and recording observations, performing ECGs, venepuncture, and managing stock levels. The successful candidate will also assist in documentation, support junior team members, and ensure the decontamination area operates smoothly.

Candidates should have prior healthcare experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to professional development, with an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent knowledge being essential. While experience in an orthopaedic setting and knowledge of outpatient work is desirable, training will be provided. Fluency in Welsh is preferred, although English speakers are also encouraged to apply.
