The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse for the role of Hybrid Arrhythmia & ICC Trainee Enhanced Practitioner at the Bristol Heart Institute. This position, which is a 12-month secondment consisting of 37 hours per week, requires a candidate with a strong background in cardiology, specifically in arrhythmias and inherited cardiac conditions (ICCs). The role entails supporting patients at risk of developing these conditions, conducting comprehensive pre-operative assessments, managing follow-up clinics, and providing a busy advice line. The successful applicant will work closely with both the Electrophysiology and ICC teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

In this position, effective communication and organisational skills are crucial, as the candidate will serve as an advocate for patients, offer clinical advice, and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary team members. The role also includes providing education to patients and families and supporting them through difficult conversations surrounding diagnoses and loss. Ongoing learning and development will be provided alongside experienced Enhanced Practitioners to ensure the delivery of exemplary patient care within a diverse population served by the Bristol Heart Institute.
