The Stephenson Medical Practice in Washington is seeking an experienced Full-time Practice Nurse due to retirement within their team. The successful candidate will manage the practice nursing team, overseeing various clinical areas including infection prevention, chronic disease management, health promotion, and delivering care for patients with long-term conditions. They will play a key role in developing programs for frail and housebound patients, coordinating health promotion initiatives, and ensuring effective nursing services delivery. The Practice Nurse will also support the management team in implementing clinical policies, perform routine and acute care, administer vaccinations, manage clinical records, and provide guidance on medication.

In addition to primary responsibilities, the Practice Nurse will engage in secondary tasks such as developing audit protocols, conducting staff appraisals, participating in local healthcare initiatives, and leading service enhancements within the nursing team. This role includes a full-time salary based on experience, six weeks of holidays, an NHS pension, and an extra day off for birthdays. The position emphasises collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for the patient population.
