Practice Plus Group is seeking a full-time Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP YOI Moorland, a men's prison and Young Offenders Institution in Hatfield, South Yorkshire. The role entails providing outstanding care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assisting with clinical observations, vaccination clinics, and overall patient support related to physical health, mental health, and substance misuse services. Candidates do not need an NVQ, as support will be provided to achieve one. The position offers a salary of up to £28,690 per annum based on experience and includes a rotational shift schedule covering 24/7 healthcare services.

HMP YOI Moorland is a category C men's prison and Young Offenders Institution based in Hatfield, South Yorkshire. The site offers a range of healthcare services including Physical Health, Mental Health, Pharmacy and Substance Misuse.

This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. No NVQ is required - we will support you to achieve this! Hours: This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, and you will work on rotational shifts. We deliver healthcare 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, and the rota runs fortnightly: Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Shifts are either 07:30 - 19:30 or 19:30 - 07:30 Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to £28,690 per annum - depending on experience. As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

Working within the primary care team, you will work with Nurses and Nursing Associates across the service
Assist with clinical observations, vaccination clinics etc
Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
Support the nursing and pharmacy teams onsite
Support the mental health and substance misuse teams as necessary
Assist with release and discharge when needed
