The Endoscopy Practitioner role at CHEC in Worthing involves working collaboratively under the direction of the Endoscopy Nurse in Charge to ensure an optimal patient experience throughout their journey from pre-admission to discharge. Key responsibilities include participating in the procedural pathway, supporting safe and effective unit operations, contributing to CQC and JAG GRS accreditation efforts, and preparing clinical areas for activities. Practitioners are expected to perform specific clinical tasks, including intravenous access for patients requiring sedation, while also engaging in training and competency development through the JETs framework.

Candidates must be registered practitioners with the NMC or HCPC, possess at least one year of relevant experience in an Endoscopy service, and hold a degree or equivalent experience. A strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.
