The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Sterile Services Technician to join their team in Luton. This part-time position involves working 15 hours over the weekend, specifically from 1 PM to 9 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The technician's responsibilities include the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes, operation of decontamination equipment, and the distribution of sterile supplies across the hospital’s wards and departments. While prior experience is desirable, it is not mandatory as comprehensive in-house training will be provided.

The role also encompasses operating a computerized tracking system, checking ward stock, packing items, collecting used equipment from patient areas, and ensuring cleanliness in work areas. Adherence to strict infection control policies is essential, including a uniform policy.
