As the Diabetes Midwifery Team Leader, you will:
- Coordinate and lead care delivery for women with pre-existing and gestational diabetes, ensuring personalised and safe care plans.
- Manage the diabetes team to deliver on national, regional, and local priorities for diabetes prevention and management.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to support positive pregnancy outcomes.
- Lead face-to-face clinics, manage a caseload, and provide education to both staff and patients.
- Navigate care pathways, plan for pregnancy, labour, and birth, and present at MDT meetings.
- Utilise technology to support virtual and in-person care settings.
- Audit service performance and maintain the diabetes database to ensure continuous quality improvement.
