The Junior Clinical Fellow in Vascular Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is a 12-month fixed-term position based at St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, and Hammersmith Hospital, as part of the Surgery, Cancer and Cardiovascular Sciences division. The role involves undertaking various clinical duties and academic responsibilities within a large, multidisciplinary team, supporting approximately 7,000 annual vascular referrals and participating in over 2,100 surgical procedures annually. The fellow will also engage in teaching, research, and audit initiatives, with a strong emphasis on effective communication between all levels of clinical staff.

The Clinical Fellow will be involved in a resident on-call rota compliant with the European Working Time Directive, and is expected to handle administrative tasks such as dictating discharge letters and generating audit data. The position requires an enthusiastic team player dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care and communication within the vascular service. Outpatient clinics are conducted across multiple sites, with all inpatient activities consolidated at St Mary’s Hospital, allowing the fellow to participate in both daycase and inpatient surgical lists, as well as multidisciplinary meetings.
