The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rheumatology Specialist Nurse to provide clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with rheumatological conditions. The role includes leading nurse-led clinics, particularly after an initial training period, and involves actively improving care standards through supervision, audits, and evidence-based practices. The post holder will also handle a nursing advice line, collaborate with the rheumatology multidisciplinary team (MDT), and support student nurses in their professional development.

Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute to clinical governance processes, adhere to NICE guidelines for biologic therapy clinics, and maintain a clean and organized department. Strong communication skills are essential for ensuring patient satisfaction, and proficiency in IT will be important, especially with the rollout of a new electronic patient record system.
