Job description
An opportunity has arisen at the Florence Nightingale Community Hospital within Sexual Health Service, for a full time Pathway Coordinator to join the secretarial team.
You will be part of the administration team providing an efficient and professional medical secretarial service, within an established team of Clinicians.
You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills. You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.
Responsibilities of this role cover a wide range of administration and secretarial duties including typing clinical correspondence, appointment scheduling, diary management and dealing with a wide range of telephone queries.A flexible approach to workload is essential.
You will have a broad range of administrative skills.
Previous secretarial or administration experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAn understanding of the 18-week RTT processKnowledge of the Trust Patient Access PolicyKnowledge and familiarisation of medical terminologyExcellent organisational and communication skillsKnowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and email systemsRSA II or equivalent qualification / equivalent experienceNVQ level III Business and Administration or equivalent knowledge and skillsAudio typing qualification or experience desirableMinute taking experience preferred but training can be provided
