greeting patients in a friendly manner
show patients how to use check in screens
handling repeat prescription requests and collections
consulting with members of the practice team about waiting area (delays etc)
Telephone triage /appointments
have working knowledge of telephone system, during and after hours
fill in the telephone triage template
triaging and booking into appropriate appointments with clinicians
signposting patients to relevant services both internally and externally
Clinical
checking blood pressure/height/weight
recording new pregnancies
be able to chaperone
Patient support
Help reduce demand by working on a list of high service users to help and support them by contacting them on a regular basis instead of them contacting us.
