The Band 6 Clinical Physiologist role at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust involves conducting a wide range of routine and specialized lung function tests, including complex procedures such as bronchial challenge testing and sleep investigations. The position requires the post holder to provide training and supervision to trainee Clinical Physiologists and some non-technical staff. Additionally, the role includes the production of clinical reports and recommendations based on test results, participation in the development of standard operating procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

The post holder will work with patients of all ages, managing their own workload and contributing to the daily operations of the Lung Function and Sleep department. This includes delegating tasks to staff and ensuring efficient time management while maintaining high standards of practice in testing and patient care.
