The Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Advanced Physiotherapist to join their musculoskeletal team, focusing on orthopaedic inpatient care for children and young people. This role involves assessing and treating patients who have undergone elective or trauma surgery, including those related to orthopaedic oncology, spinal surgery, and major trauma. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support the inpatient trauma team, which also includes involvement in paediatric burn services.

Candidates should have experience with paediatric orthopaedic conditions at a Band 7 level or as an experienced Band 6 and must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. An interest in research, audit, and service development is essential, along with participation in training programs and potential out-of-hours work depending on experience.

More about the NHS
The National Health Service (NHS) is a cornerstone of healthcare in the United Kingdom, established in 1948 with the simple yet profound principle of providing healthcare to all citizens, free at the point of use. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
