The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Specialist Technician for Clinical Trials to assist the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Manager and Advanced Specialist Pharmacist in managing clinical trials, ensuring compliance with national legislation and guidelines. This role involves extensive training and skill development in various aspects of clinical trials, particularly focusing on oncology and haematology studies.

Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and maintaining pharmacy clinical trial activities.
- Dispensing and accuracy checking investigational medicinal products (IMPs).
- Supervising and training junior pharmacy staff.
- Coordinating the preparation of clinical trial medications and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records of drug accountability and conducting stock checks.
- Supporting the research team and contributing to efficient trial management.
- Participating in audits and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other relevant guidelines.

The position offers a dynamic work environment within a dedicated clinical trials team, and preference will be given to internal candidates and those with relevant experience.
