Job description
We are looking for a confident Acting Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You'll be working 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts including every other weekend, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Thornfield House.
You will work some shifts as a support worker, and some shifts as a team leader, running the shift, allocating duties, supporting management and giving medication to our service users.
Thornfield House is a specialist residential service supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Thornfield House supports 7 individuals and offers spacious communal areas including a lounge, dining room, kitchen, and a large activity/cinema room. Externally we have beautiful gardens to the front and the rear of the building which feature, plenty of space for outdoor games, bbq, a seating area and a sensory room.

- Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
- Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely
Your day-to-day as a support worker...
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
- Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe & clean environment for all
