The Senior Fellow in Spinal Surgery position at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust offers post-FRCS senior trainees an opportunity to gain comprehensive clinical and surgical experience in adult elective spinal surgery, particularly focusing on degenerative spinal disease. The department is renowned for delivering high-quality, efficient spinal care, participating in a multi-disciplinary team that includes experienced consultants and other specialists. The fellowship, starting in February 2026 or 2027, involves significant exposure to various surgical procedures, including complex cases, and requires the fellow to develop and implement improvement programs and engage in research projects.

Candidates must hold GMC registration and relevant medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent), MRCS (essential), or FRCS (desirable).
