The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Ward Manager for Ward 52, targeting individuals with experience and a strong interest in surgical care. The role involves overseeing a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient ward operations in collaboration with specialized nursing and surgical teams. Key responsibilities include managing resources, maintaining high standards of patient care and safety, and fostering effective communication with patients and their families throughout the care process.

The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership qualities, act as a role model for the nursing team, and be accountable for the quality of care provided. This position also entails monitoring patient flow, admission, and discharge planning, and ensuring compliance with corporate and divisional objectives. Candidates should be prepared for responsibilities related to patient record management and will be required to cover the cost of necessary DBS checks following appointment.
