Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and innovative Band 7 Highly Specialist Trauma Occupational Therapist to join their Major Trauma team in London on a part-time basis (0.7 WTE). The role involves leading the assessment, treatment, and management of complex patients with various trauma-related conditions, including orthopaedic and plastic injuries, polytrauma, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. The successful candidate will work autonomously as well as alongside a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to personal and team development.

Responsibilities include overseeing clinical and operational management of the occupational therapy service, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, and supporting the leadership of the Neuro & Trauma therapy team. The role may also involve deputising for senior therapists and includes participation in weekend and bank holiday coverage as part of a rota. Candidates should be eager to enhance their leadership and specialist skills through evidence-based practice, supported by experienced colleagues.
