The role of "VCHA National Training Team Leader and Regional Lead" at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in Stanmore involves leading a project aimed at enhancing NHS support for the Armed Forces community. The leader will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for NHS staff across various healthcare sectors, focusing on reducing health disparities affecting veterans and their families. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the training team and implementing training materials within the region.
- Creating tailored Armed Forces awareness training modules for Integrated Care Systems (ICS), Integrated Care Partnerships (ICP), and NHS Trusts.
- Producing a "Train the Trainer" package for ongoing education.
- Aligning training programs with equality, diversity, and inclusion best practices.
- Engaging with patient advocacy groups to ensure training meets community needs.
- Collaborating with NHS services to facilitate appropriate support for the Armed Forces community.
- Supporting health needs assessments and improving access to healthcare for service members, veterans, and their families.
