Band 4: £26,530 to £29,114 a year per annum  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

If you are looking for a new opportunity and thrive on a new challenge an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the administration team for the department and is suitable for someone who can coordinate work effectively and provide support, motivation, and guidance to other team members.

In this role you will need to have good customer service skills and the ability to multitask.

You will also need to have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise and organise a varied workload. If you also thrive on variety this is a role you should consider as you will have to travel to other sites when the need arises in the West Berkshire and Reading area; you will receive generous mileage allowance to facilitate this element of the role.

This is a rewarding role, working alongside a committed and friendly team, in a continuously evolving service where you will have daily interaction with patients, administration colleagues and clinical staff.

  • Line management of the administration team including rota management and recruitment

  • Responsible for overseeing prompt completion of administration functions such as appointment bookings, clinic letter management, emails, telephone calls and queries from physiotherapist team.

  • Ensure targets and service level agreements are met to support the clinical provision

  • To be responsible for the efficient running of the administration service for the physiotherapy department

  • Take responsibility for digital referral management and new patient bookings

  • Liaise with necessary services to support and assist patients as needed, such as patient transport.

  • Be the first point of contact for welcoming patients and visitors attending the physiotherapy outpatient department

  • Collect data and statistics to aid management in guiding the service direction.

  • Work flexibly in response to the needs of the patients, service, and physiotherapists

  • Supporting colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and compassionate service both virtually and in person.

About us

The3/4 must haves for you to be considered for this role:

  1. Previous experience of managing an administration team.

  1. Good keyboard skills and the ability to use IT packages such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  1. Ability to organise and prioritise and experience of working in an office/ customer care

  1. Being dependable and in possession of a UK driving licence with access to a car.
